Product Overview

SAP Live Monitor is a Multi SAP System Monitoring Solution giving you Real Time information on one screen, the Global Monitor

This Global Monitor has an Auto-Refresh function and allows Visual Follow up of your systems at a glance;

One of my first video of the Global Monitor

If any Problem occurs, you will be alerted by a Visual Alert on the screen, and you can click on it to Investigate and Solve it, even before users support calls you: You are Empowered because you can "See" a problem coming, investigate right away on it, solve it, reducing the downtime or poor perfromance of your SAP system that will affect the end users

SAP Live Monitor can be used by SAP BC / Administrators, Database Administrators DBA and Performance Experts to Watch, Learn, Analyze and Solve common or complex Technical & Performance issues, and help Prevent them

Usually a problem can be Technical, related to an ABAP Program or come from an SQL Query. SAP Live Monitor helps you Detect very quickly any of these and allows direct Root Cause Analysis to solve it before it gets out of control

Examples:

- Technical
It could be a Hardware issue, like a Server blade down and your SAP Sytem is loosing Work Processes
=> you will see the normal number of WP smaller grphically on the Global Monitor
Or an Inound Queue is saturated an incoming Bdocs are pilling up
=> The Q IN figure will grow abnormaly and its color will turn Orange and Red

- ABAP Program
A developper as imported a new ABAP program and a new version of it, and it contains a READ with no BINARY SEARCH on a large table (usually seen in Productive System, and not before), or a SORT inside a LOOP
=> You will see a Job abnormally long, with an Orange and Red color of its duration, or it is a Dialog, it will be on top and will shows no Table in the Work Processes & DB Sessions Monitor

- SQL Query
A developper has coded a new SELECT in an ABAP Program and the selection is not optimized, using a lot of DB Cache (Buffer Gets and Disk Reads)
=> You will see a Job abnormally long, with an Orange and Red color of its duration, or it is a Dialog, it will be on top and will shows the Table it is stuck on in Work Processes & DB Sessions Monitor, allowing you to click on it and see the SQL Query key figures, SQL Plan and detect the lack of index or other cause
